We do have our own cc accounts. If people buy from their own tech, it's not a problem. If someone is buying that isn't a customer, where does the money go? I don't want to eat the discount just because I'm the owner. For instance, if a man comes in to buy a gift card for his wife that is not already a customer, who's cc account do I ring it up under? Remember I wanted to offer a discount. Whomever it gets rung up under absorbs the discount.

Lauren I would encourage everyone to have their own cc merchant accounts.... Square sounds like the way to go. How my salon does it is, the receptionist ring the GC under the salon account and the owner pays out accordingly. if the client pays with a credit card she takes out 2.5% (which is our cost for using the credit card machine). We want to do a grand opening party next month and offer gift cards that include a discount. Ex. Buy $50 and get $10 extra, buy $100 get $20. My question is, since everyone else is booth rental, do we need to ring up the sales on our separate accounts? This is fine if our own customers are buying from us, but I was hoping people new to the salon might come in. I'm the owner but don't want to eat all of the discount myself. > -- >You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups >"NailTech" group. >To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. >To unsubscribe from this group, send email to >[email protected]. >For more options, visit this group at >http://groups.google.com/group/nailtech?hl=en. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NailTech" group.
