Yeah... I might be a little confused: Are you concerned about eating the
"discount" fees for the credit card transactions? Or the discount offered on
the gc value?

Credit card discount fees are seriously low per transaction-- a $40 transaction
shouldn't cost you more than a dollar, or there abouts. I'd go ahead and eat
it. But you can also just go ahead and ring those sales up under your (the
owner/salon) account, then, as they get redeemed you just pay out the tech who
did the service. Basically, the customer would redeem the gc with the tech and
then the tech would redeem the gc with you. Then you pay the tech the amount
the gc sold for-- so if it was a $50 gc sold for $40, then you pay the tech the
$40. Or pay the tech $39; the discounted value of the gc minus the cc fee that
it cost you to sell the gc.

The big issue here is to make sure that all the booth renters understand and
agree to whatever method you opt for. And make sure you code the gc's in some
way so you know which ones were sold at the discount, what the discount was,
who collected the money and who paid the cc fees so everyone can get reimbursed
appropriately when the gc gets redeemed.
