I have haad only one and its the girl that does my hair but we have attributed
it to her cleaning and doing chemical services like relaxers without gloves.

Michelle, I have clients like that as well. We have adjusted accordingly after
we made that discovery.

I have some clients that can only wear Shellac or only wear Gelish, not both. I
believe it's to do with body chemistry.

That client probably did peel them off, but I do know some people that Shellac
will not stay on. Including one of the girls I work with. It really does peel
off of her.

Hi Teks,
  My rant for today:
I had a new client come in last Friday to have the shellac put on. I did
the usual manicure and prep, and applied the shellac like I have been doing it
(successfully!) for the last 2 years. So.. the client calls me today, and asks
me if I have time to "fix" a couple of nails. huh? FIX!? What do you mean by
"fix"? Client: "Well, I had 4 of them that just peeled off! The one peeled
off the very next day!" Visions of me "fixing" her "peeling" shellac nails in
an eternity shrouded in HELL swirled thru my mind! OH NO YOU DON'T my mind
shouted! I quickly explained that if she were ALREADY experiencing "peeling"
(meaning, OH BOY DID I EVER HAVE FUN PEELINGTHIS SHELLAC STUFF OFF MY NAILS AND
NOW THERE WILL BE EVEN MORE FUN WATCHING THAT NAIL TECH "FIX" THEM SO I CAN
PEEL THEM OFF AGAIN!) I explained that she just might NOT be a good candidate
for the Shellac and that since some had already "peeled" off, we would not be
able to re-apply the Shellac to those nails because the surface that the
Shellac was adhering to probably peeled off with the Shellac and now we would
have to soak off the rest of them and, well, I don't know.. wink wink..
probably just do a regular plain ole manicure! Oh, boy was SHE ever shocked!
lol! She stammered a few seconds, then I started offering her some appt. times
to have the rest soaked off and a plain ole manicure done. hehehe! She
scheduled for a Saturday appt. but then called back later, left a message on my
machine that "she forgot she had a tire appt on Saturday".. yea.. right...
geesh... I am thinking she actually DID pick them off, and expected me to re-do
them for free! NOT! My mom came in today to have HER Shellac re-done... lets
see.. that would be 3 freakin weeks ago I put the stuff on and it was friggin
PERFECT! With her gardening! and Cleaning! and scrubbing pots and pans! And
cooking Easter Dinner!? Hmph! I am OFFICIALLY:
Tired of being walked on,
