I've come to the point where when I get desciptions like this I just ask, "Do you have a picture of your friend's nails?" Making people understand that salons/techs make up names for services for marketing purposes is futile. I also usually say, "Yeah, I can do that, but I call it something else." A lot of people DON'T WANT to be educated, they just want to like their nails.
