Lauren,
Maybe the friend in Florida had gotten the dashing diva french strips with
shellac over it? The "square" part would be nerve wracking... I so agree...my
pet peeve is when the client wants a straight across free edge... instead of my
much practiced, beautiful smile line!

Last week I get a call from a girl that says she wants Dashing Diva French. I
told her that my next available appointment was this week. She called me right
at her appointment time and said she was in bumper to bumper traffic. I said
don't worry and she came only about 5 mins. late. She said her friend in Fla.
has "Dashing Diva French Shellac" I explained I have both Dashing Diva and
Shellac which are two different things. She seemed confused and I explained
the difference. But more so she just wanted what her friend had. I told her
that the tech probably mixed the two and made up this service, which I could do
also. I started to file her nails, she took her hand from me and said I want
them more square. I made them more square, she said they weren't square enough
and then got up and said this isn't working and left. By the way I have been
doing nails for 21 years and think I have the whole square nails thing down
now. I'm so sick of NSS salons making up bs and telling people they have
"Shellac" or gel or whatever, then I have to suffer through trying to get the
crap of their nails. I'm sure this girl will be leaving bad comments on Yelp
or Facebook also, since she found us on the web and is tech savvy. I spend
half my day on the phone or face to face trying to educate people. It's
starting to get on my last nerve. So how was your day? Lauren the tired biotch
in Knoxville.
