Also make super sure to give the alcohol plenty of time to dry!

I also had a problem covering the nail with pigment... The topcoat didn't end
up sticking I guess... Every nail developed a bubble under it... I think I used
too much pigment!

I tried also Becky. I couldn't get it to do the drip. Then the pigment started
chipping. Pigments and color chipped and peeled off in about a week. Left the
OPI base gel down perfect.

Walmart.com <http://Walmart.com> . I want to try Holly's technique also. Will
let you know what happens. What brand are you using?

Are they called pigments? I have tried using minerals but they aren't acting
the same as how it looks like true pigments behave... I can't drop alcohol over
them how Holly has demonstrated, and create the droplets ... The technique just
doesn't work with minerals... I'm looking for something to play and practice
with that wont break the bank...

No, they are not powdered paints. If you were to try and mix them with water
they wouldn't reconstitute into paint.

I have purchased at Michael's the exact same pigments that CND is selling. I
found them in the section where the stamping and embossing supplies ate. They
came in a package of 12 and there were 2 different sets, one metallic/pearl and
the other matte. If I remember correctly they were about $22 each. I've used
them to make colored acrylic, gel, as eyeshadow, in lipgloss, and as CND
suggests.

Hi everyone, Is pigments that we can use on nails just dry paint? I was at
Hobby Lobby today and seen powdered paint and also watercolor paints that
looked dry.
