I'd be happy to help with this at some point, but I don't yet feel
confident enough in my knowledge of the codebase to take it on just now.
However, I'll make sure that any future proposals I forward, for either
task, are done with this in mind.

I've committed your patch to cvs.  But as it seems both tasks could do

some refactoring as both share quite some code.  Can either of you have
