Hey Brad,

For some reason, my messages never get through to the distribution list.
Here is my response to Matt.

Hi Matt,

It's rare these days for any self-respecting next-gen product to pass these
GR-63 requirements:
* Heat release
* Acoustics
* Short-term temperature extremes

That being said, there is still a lot of customer value in meeting these
requirements (recall the GR-3028 committee that is looking at points 1 & 3).

A little squishier are the geometry requirements. People are obviously
violating the standards and getting away with it.

If you don't meet the seismic, floor loading, operational vibration, and
long-term temperature range requirements, you probably won't have much of a
market.

Cheers,
Marko

Has anyone ever seen or experienced a product sold to a RBOC that never
passed all the GR-63 requirements? If so, what are the exceptions and why.
Thanks in advance.
