IMO, it's as important for a committer to receive Gerrit notifications
than it is to receive Bugzilla's ones.
Personally I would prefer an update of your patch to the ticket. I
haven't worked with Gerrit yet. Sure I need to do so soon, but an
updated patch would be easier for the moment. :)
I think this patch is a right opportunity for you to give a try to
Gerrit. I can give you some assistance if you need. Contact me on Skype
