The Central Series came to a close last weekend at the Savin Hill Invitational. The home team of the BC Eagles emerged victorious in a tie-breaker over the RWU Hawks following a breezy-brawl in the waters of Dorchester Bay. The win also secured the Central Series Overall Championship for the Eagles who finished the Series three points ahead of the always threatening Tufts Jumbos. Congrats to the Eagles on a fine showing of consistency through this season's Central Series.
In a tragic turn of events last Friday, Yale was forced to cancel the Short Beach Invite due to Mother Nature's impending wrath. Saturday night may have seen waves big enough to crush any collegiate dinghy in its path. Rumors are circulating that Pat Rynne was seen with an old single-fin surf board walking away from YCYC during the earliest hours of daylight on Sunday morning. The Southern Series will roll into Newport for its final two stops, each held at SRU, starting this weekend. The Northern Series will once again be a "winner takes all" war at the Mascoma Invite on 4/30. Skills should be as sharp for this one!
