Hello, I just found out about Neko from some posts on Lambda the Ultimate. Neko looks very interesting for my needs, but I was just about ready to use Lua. The LuaJIT performance is outstanding as can be seen here:
http://shootout.alioth.debian.org/gp4sandbox/benchmark.php?test=all&lang=all&calc=Calculate&xfullcpu=1&xmem=0&xloc=0&binarytrees=1&chameneos=1&message=1&fannkuch=1&fasta=1&knucleotide=1&mandelbrot=1&nbody=1&nsieve=1&nsievebits=1&partialsums=1&pidigits=1&recursive=1®exdna=1&revcomp=1&spectralnorm=1&hello=0&sumcol=1 It seems like Lua is just about the fastest dynamic language implementation every. Its memory usage isn't horrible compared to other VM implementations, but I wish it was better. I'm going to try Neko myself and run the bench marks, but I though I would ask how Neko compares with LuaJIT. Has anyone run the numbers? Thanks, McKinley __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
