Jesse,
Tuesday I was sailing in steady 25 kt winds  with blade jib and single reef, then the wind picked up 28-30 kt and I put another reef in, I went forward to look at my mast  and found it perfect and soild , I have Forespar mast and the double spreader ( for 7months),  Then the wind picked up a little with high gust and I dropped my jib (hank on) and sailed with double reef. I have found that I'm not tighting my cap shouds as much as I used to with the baby stay, but keep the inner and outer shouds the same  + -. I miss that baby stay ONLY as a hand hold when going forward, This winter I'm redoing my anti skid on the decks and will take off the chainplate for the baby stay ( can't think of any reason to keep it)
Stay Tuned
