Hi All, my understanding is the tsunami early warning system set up around 1954 for the pacific is not a global system. the talk now is to set up a global system- one of the catches is who to contact for these other countries with different systems, and very rural coastal towns accessable only by boat, or thin roads. -the only book I've read on it is "waves and beaches" by Bascom. The loss is astounding.
