That would be why part of the process is to convert the discussion
to executable tests. That would also be why the team sits together,
to reinforce and enrich understanding as time goes on.

Yes, and tactile. Both of those facts are part of why cards work
better than spreadsheets or planning tools, for example.

Writing is a good way to organize one's thoughts, and a wise
Customer would perhaps use a journal to write her thoughts in all
the time. She would then use her deeper thought, and her practice
with words, to tell people things they need to know. She would not
expect her developers to be able to learn from her brain dump.

I'm all for writing. I'm not so much for reading. But nothing is
black and white, not even black and white.
