OK. Here is some feedback: The difference will be in how much
headway you can make when the wind or current is against you.
Exactly like a car is trying to climb a hill in high gear. It's
a tradeoff, in exchange for high speeds you are trading off some
of the ability to go forward when things get tough.

    If you like to read, there is a book "The Speed and Power of
Ships" that makes fascinating reading.
