[may99] christmas and new year

Well, either you have all been very quite or I have been getting bounced from the list. I just thought I would let you all know how my Christmas went J   It was an overcast and cool day, as well as being pretty windy I had brought balloon bouquets for each table and we were unable to use the damn things. Everyone turned up at 7 and the food was all ready. I was pretty amazed at how calm I was! I had even managed a shower and clothes change. All of us had a wonderful time, the food was lovely. I cooked a turkey and we had ham. Friends brought side salads and I made white chocolate honey mousse and mini fruit cakes for dessert. We had such a nice night, no dramas, no one drunk (usually me after the stress) and the kids were perfect.   My mil had a rotten time in Victoria with her middle son and his current girlfriend. They (son & gf) insist on bringing up past wrongs (so you were made to go to church – get over it) with it all ending in a family spat over who got what gifts ($30 gift voucher for him, photo frame for her. Not good enough) . I think I have convinced Mil to come up here next year J
