I decided to switch gases temporarily, CO2 instead of neon. I bought one of the cheap Chinese laser cutters, and plan to swap out the primitive control board and software for modern ones. It'll cheerfully cut wood and many plastics. And cool housings is one of the reasons I'm doing this!
