OK, done. It looks to me like for some reason the seven on both tubes is a "problem" digit. If the 7s are connected together, their ghosting is especially bad. If the "hot" seven is mixed with another digit (I used the six) the ghosting "infects" the six as well, but only to a very minimal extent. The same thing goes if a "hot" 6 is mixed with the "cold" 7, the "cold" 7 only lights up a little bit. Weird.
