Hi folks, Just joined the group, after meaning to for ages! I caught the Nixie bug last year and have been fascinated with them ever since, although I'm more interested in the actual construction of the tubes (also love Panaplex displays). The only thing I've actually built* with* a Nixie was a little 0-9 counter (link<http://www.imajeenyus.com/electronics/20100607_nixie/index.shtml>) ;-)
Since then, I've done a couple of Panaplex-like displays (first<http://www.imajeenyus.com/vacuum/20100814_panaplex/index.shtml>, second<http://www.imajeenyus.com/vacuum/20101115_second_panaplex/index.shtml> ), and more recently a text discharge tube<http://www.imajeenyus.com/vacuum/20110310_text_discharge_tube/index.shtml>, which I though you might be interested in. I'm trying to find out if there's any interest in a custom tube like this with your name or whatever spelled out in it. They're argon-filled and have a lifetime of about 150 hours. If anyone would like getting a custom one made, just drop me an email. All the best, Lindsay -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
