I would go for picking upon the signal used to drive the motor in a quartz watch or clock, since its usually a nice 1 Hz
Tuning fork watches use some electronics to keep the fork vibrating so you could do the same from scratch with any tuning fork as a time base. If I was going to use a mechanical watch I would probably chose one of the electronic/ electric, they still have a balance but it is driven by a battery, you could remove the rest of the watch parts just keeping the balance and electronics and pick up your time signal however you wanted. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "neonixie-l" group.
