Well honestly, I do think an invention *must* be defined as "I found out what nobody else has found out before", no matter what the Latin word truly means. I find out many things in 1 day, but they are not unique nor would I call them inventions :-). I agree with David that there are indeed many more patent numbers than actual inventions. Taking the Lissajous curves "invention" out of this scope pocket watch (and clock), they are still nice pieces to look at but less interesting. @Jeff Thomas : Yes, I wonder how many times your name will pop up at this brief talk :-) Let me guess, uhhmmmm '0' ?
