The 3D printed prototype is only an approximation of the final product. It's not intended to be an exact version of the watch. It's very nice to be able to hold an actual part in your hands to see what it looks like. I don't know that I will ever make a 3D printed one that's good enough to be considered a product.

I plan to make more prototypes myself in a while. I have an Ultimaker 3D printer kit in a box waiting for me to assemble it, after I get caught up on shipping product to waiting customers.
