There's an excellent write-up here from a kickstarter veteran (she's a muscian, 
but the concepts are broadly applicable) with a lot of good things to consider 
and how to run your numbers.  Long, but worth a read if you're new to 
kickstarter and/or want to minimize the chance of disaster.
