That kit doesn't look too bad, but 55$ for a Geiger Counter without a display?
For 39$ without a gm tube you could get this one https://sites.google.com/site/diygeigercounter/buy-the-kit-1 Many tubes are supported, gm-tubes (SbM-20 is a good choice) on ebay.
