There are others out there too...

I use RPis all over the place - several as media clients running max2play, 
 some running IP cams and DNS, some with valve/tube hats as headphone 
amps...

...but I don;t have any running nixies (yet)! One thing that may simplify 
matters is to supply the Pi's power from the hat as the hat will be 
consuming most and you can power it through the GPIO connector, thus 
meaning you only need one PSU for both your nixie hat and the RPi - this is 
what most RPi-based media clients with on-board hat amplifiers do, e.g. 
those from IQaudIO (whose amps I use and love).
