Wonder if they would no longer meet the Electrical standards - I have some projectors which have a connector which has 2 prong blades like a power cord, recessed in a round opening. The Old cords that came with them look just like an extension cord and Just clear the opening. modern cords have to be quite a bit larger so that one cannot bypass the ground pin.
