@Martin: regarding your question of longer life on higher anode voltage: No, that's not what telefunken means. They wrote on behalf of multiplexing, in my opinion, a bit confusing. In other words: at multiplexing with higher beam current, the effective current (like rms) is nearly the same as in using no multiplexing (with lower anode voltage).
