I am having the PS for my series one completely rebuilt by Ralph
Skelton of Pacific Innovative Electronics. He is lowering the noise
floor, increasing voltage for specific rails, replacing and upgrading
caps as well as making it 208 and 120 switchable. I am told it is the
biggest single improvement you can do to an older model console and I
can't wait to hear it.
Anyway, I highly recommend refurbishing the power supply of any older
model console.

supply modules. The toughest part is usually sourcing suitable
cable and the proper connectors to interface with the console in
question. Any competent tech near you should be able to do this.
