Take a close look at those patchbay modules.  If they are like the ones shipped with my old Series 2, they used "balanced" (tip-ring-sleeve) jacks and tied the ring and sleeve together to unbalance them.  When I rewired that console, I took the time (many many hours with a desoldering gun) to remove all the shorting wires between the rings and sleeves and wired it as a balanced patchbay.  You may be able to do that instead of trying to find more patchbay modules.
