Hello Kyle,

I may have some balanced patchbays. How wide are your strips?

Ike, what you describe is exactly what I have. When trs plugs are
inserted, the tip does not connect.

In any case, I'm still searching for balanced patchbays. I bought four
modules from a gentleman in Mexico, who evidently doesn't know what
balanced means. So I now have eight unbalanced modules that I can't
use, and the seller seems to have lost access to his email.

Anyway, I really need to get my patchbay together, so if anyone has a
suggestion, please share.

Thanks,

Kyle

Hi Steve,
What you are describing is a balanced patch bay that was wired in
an un-balanced config. I have seen patch bays on the older consoles
that actually only have two contacts, with the "Tip" contact being
where the "Ring" would be in a balanced jack.
best,
Ike
