That isn't really the right answer..? Regardless of what headers are installed on my system, if I choose --disable-gtk, then I'm quite intentionally desiring that <program> compile without any use or reliance on GTK.
The original poster (Cliff) stated he is building without GTK because he doesn't intend to use it. If nessus is going to require GTK to build, then it shouldn't have an option for ./configure.
