I'm relatively new to nessus, and was wondering the 'correct' way to do something. What I would like to do is create nessus profiles such that I can initiate a web-only scan or ssh-only etc... So, a webscan would only use the plugins that I have defined to be 'useful' towards a webserver.
Would using different config files, each defining the plugins to be used, be the correct way to do this. Or would this be better handled using the session management features? Anybody have any expierience using this kind of setup, windows or *nix? Thanks, -Mike
