I've been looking at this for a bit. While I don't think it's possible to do the conversion to XML, I think you can still save yourself some time... My first thought was to write a script to filter the data from session files into either NBE or NSR formatted files and then use the nessus client to convert them to XML. In theory, this should work but I just can't get nessus to handle the conversion -- it complains each time with "xml_output: No SERVER_INFO found", even if I use NBE or NSR files produced by nessus directly. [Can anyone else get this to work?] Then I realized you're not necessarily interested in XML output per se but want to import the scan results into a database. Given that, why not just write a script to read the session data files and add the results to the database directly? George -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
