Hi, I use nessus to scan student campus network ( about 3000 computers ). Because I have to schedule the scans at random time, I use nessus command line client in "batch" mode to perform the scan. To speed up the scan of the network I have to lunch mupliple client session ( target is one host only ), but with the same config file. I have no idea why, every client tries to open tho config in write mode. After for example 2 days of run, the config file was total mess. I have to set inhibit atribute ( chattr +i nessusrc ). Can you tell me why clients try to overwrite the config file ? I need to report same false positives with plugins, but I don't know where. Old www.nessus.org provided same kind of phorum to report the bug/false positive to each plugin. I studied the plugin source for email address of author, but no clue. Can you help me with this ?
