I found the problem with winamp scanning. Under credentials, it says "SMB domain (optional)". It's not optional for winamp even though the machine is not in a domain. Filling in anything makes it work.
With debug enabled, I found messages like this in scan.log: not launching winamp_in_cdda_buffer_overflow.nasl against 127.0.0.1: required key missing I checked the list of required keys against the .kb file and SMB/domain was the missing one. Remaining questions: (1) will entering a bogus domain value have any effect on other plugins and (2) there are several other plugins that list SMB/domain as required; is it really? (I see 17 matches for "smb/domain" in the plugins directory, not all of which are required key specifications.)
