Ummm...  Maybe I'm missing something here.

But if the reason for implementing the (effectively redundent) RMON alarm
table is because of problems with the disman Event MIB implementation,
and the same problems also affect this new alarmTable   -   then how does
that get us any further forward?

That problem with internal queries over a delegated session is an important
one, I'd agree.   That's what we should be concentrating on, IMO - not
duplicating existing functionality.
   I started to have a look at this a while ago, but got bogged down
very quickly
(and then work got in the way).

But I'm unconvinced that having a new MIB implementation is of much
real value.
