Two? This thread is "misused" for at least three differnet issues:

1) libtool 1.5.22 to 1.5.24 update (the original one)
2) libtool bashing (see above)
3) shared library versioning (Wes)

I have yet to see someone proposing a solution that'd work better for
us. Until then, let's stick with libtool. I'm glad it exists.
