Hi
I fell over the fact that net-snmp can allow one to write an agent in perl
(and not 'c').
However, there wasn't much in the form for docs/examples so I deceided to
make my own and "contribute" to the Wiki.
I believe that the link
http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Tut:Extending_snmpd_using_perl now
has "reasonable" content.

However:
For example, http://search.cpan.org/dist/NetSNMP-agent/agent.pm contains
statements like
REGISTRATION_INFO - what are the correct meanings of these?
FIXME: how to get the type of the value? Is it even available?
So I was wondering, is the doc's not following the code (ie do I now need to
read code to finish the tutorial?)

Is there a time frame where the perl module will be developed/reviewed by
the developers where I could help by finding "problems" via the tutorial?

I would like to finish the tutorial first before actually coding a perl
agent for some projects I work on.

Respectivly yours (in plain txt and not html)
