Thanks guys for the pointers!

It took me a while, but my problem turned out to be so basic that I'm a bit
embarrassed to admitting it. Turns out that after cross-compiling the
executable, when I copied over the library files, I goofed up with the
symbolic links. ( libnetsnmpmibs.so was pointing to libnetsnmpagent.so ) All
that was part of an automated copy script and I didn't notice it earlier. :(
