First things first, I know I should send posts to the group.  It was an
oversight from just doing a Reply in my e-mail software and not cc'ing
the group.  My bad.

I'm not sure how you're getting HTML.  I use Lotus Notes for e-mail and
I'm not aware that it embeds HTML in my sent e-mail.  I usually respond
in straight text monospace font with no bells and/or whistles.  Let me
know if you're still getting HTML and I can look into my settings.

The error is coming from the main snmpd program, which is why I noted
the snmpd -V -Dagentx command.  Specifically, it is from the c file
agent/mibgroup/agentx/subagent.c where I think it's trying to wire up
the agentx session.

This, or something similar, may be the key to solving this mystery.
Since this is the only machine not working, it's got to be some configu-
ration difference that's been overlooked.  I've copied the snmpd.conf
file from a working machine, but still no luck.  Previously I had the
snmpd.conf file generated from snmpconf.  Here's how it looks (condensed).
