Hi all,

I have two linux boxes (one with SLES9, one with CentOS5).

On the SLES9 I upgraded the net-snmp to net-snmp-5.3.0.1-42.1 which I
compiled from .srpm.

On CentOS5 there is installed net-snmp-5.3.1-19.el5_1.3.

On both boxes I have extended my snmpd.conf file as follows:

=============================================================
extend .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.570 hda /root/read_hdd.sh hda
=============================================================

When I perform a snmpwalk on the CentOS box I'm getting this result:
=============================================================
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# snmpwalk centos5 -v2c -cxxxx .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.570
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.1.0 = INTEGER: 1
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.2.3.104.100.97 = STRING: "/root/read_hdd.sh"
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.3.3.104.100.97 = STRING: "hda"

UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.4.1.2.3.104.100.97.4 = STRING: "0"
=============================================================

When querying the SLES9 box I'm not getting the "97.1" values:
=============================================================
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /]# snmpwalk sles9 -v2c -cxxxx .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.570

UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.3.3.104.100.97 = STRING: "hda"
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.4.3.104.100.97 = ""
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.5.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 5
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.6.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 1
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.7.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 1
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.20.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 4
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.2.1.21.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 1
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.3.1.1.3.104.100.97 = STRING: "0"
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.3.1.2.3.104.100.97 = STRING: "33

UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.3.1.3.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 6
UCD-SNMP-MIB::ucdavis.570.3.1.4.3.104.100.97 = INTEGER: 0
=============================================================

And yes, the script is absolutely the same. So why are the results so
different?

Someone an idea why it doesn't show these ".1, .2,..."values?

THX for your help!

Christian
