Sorry, please ignore the last post. The script works! The reason it didn't
work before is that I had forgotten to change the permissions to make it
executable. The output of the snmpget command is displayed below:
*snmpget -v 2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.3.1.1
EMNETS-MIB::network = STRING: "life the universe and everything"
