Ok, here's an example of the type of machine I'm talking about: http://www.kiefel.de/index.php?/en/2006101222/maschinen/packaging/kmd-speedformer.html
As you can see it is big (but would be a beautiful addition to the Tate Modern's Turbine hall)! So perhaps an alternative approach (via winning the euro lottery) to commissioning a machine manufacturer to build/design/consult with a custom machine built and designed with all my crazy unproductive ideas in mind, a more realistic approach might just be a bolt-on job. This is what your mention of manipulation of audio textures brought to mind. Noise cancellation units + sensors sensing machine vibration, might filter out certain rhythms of the machine (where the packer stands, not everything is audible). Then it might become just a device the packer can twiddle with a knob and will be able to then... bah! this is nonsense! ...tweak which sounds they're forced to listen to for the next few hours!!! Bearing in mind the noise cancellation... Oh, I give up! On 13/5/2009, "james morris" <[email protected]> wrote: > >Oh sorry, just notice I've not answered your question at all.
