Hello everyone, thought I'd chime in [with the ridiculous]. Ding dong. I love programming. Check this out:
https://computing.llnl.gov/tutorials/parallel_comp/ There was a time when I refused to buy a mobile phone too and I'd be at work in the tea room sat there in silence because my work mates were too busy texting, grrrr. Anyway, nothing to say on second life as I've never successfully visited. My second life is code at the moment and it's taking me over. I got the command line options and gui & mandelbrot-generation code separated and working independently of each other, such that the program can render with or without the gui. congratulate me later. but now i realise that any depth i want to go to in that mathematical infinite is going to take a long time to get there - especially as the program does not work with multiple threads - ie it only utilizes one core of one processor, which is dumb so I've got to cut my teeth on threading, hence the exciting link you must check out to parallel_comp. I'm getter closer - I've seen those things mentioned in the linux kernel documentation and not known what they mean, so it's nice like tea and biscuits to partially understand. that's my felt tipped pen drawing for the week. _______________________________________________ NetBehaviour mailing list [email protected] http://www.netbehaviour.org/mailman/listinfo/netbehaviour
