method:

cut v shape in celery stalk and sharpen thick end of carrot and to
each other. rub butter around join and stick parsly and basil leaves to
it.

make hole all the way through onion the right shape for the carrot to
sit snuggly in. chop garlic into little squares and press into onion,
celery, and carrot as if garlic were diamonds.

place tomatoes around onion and splash the scene with olive oil.
