You're right.. for those who like to play safe.:)
The PPC card is actually designed to *fit* into an A1200 case, it's
just reccommended to fit it to a tower for cooling. As for the 040's,
well I would hesitate to use one because they get so hot, but I've got
an overclocked 060 sitting in my desktop case right now and its fine
because 060's run much cooler. (OK, it needs the lid off, but...) The
BVision is, again, physically possible to fit in an A1200 desktop and
probably doesn't run very hot at all. I don't claim its easy or best,
but it may be possible.
As for expense, the only other alternative is to get a Tower, a Zorro3
backplane and a Picasso which comes to almost the same price as a PPC
and BVision, more, if you count trade-in of my old card. I get a PPC
into the bargain too..
So, since I'm adventurous, I'll only be put off by definite
authorititave statements that it *cannot* be done... :-)
