At 00:52:48 you said about Re: [netconnect] MICRODOT for Windows:

Is it really going to be called V or was that a typo? (I mean like
Alien).
And why is Voyager called Voyager-NC not Voyager-NG ?

[Snip a load of stuff about "waiting for the NG's"]

I'd love to know your opinion on OS3.5 having Miami (and AWeb I think)
built it. Maybe you don't wanna discuss it, but could it end up being
a situation like with Microsoft where it becomes a kind of monopoly -
people won't bother with NC2 when they already have a TCP/IP stack and
browser set up.
You never know, maybe you could sue Amiga for doing it and make a load
of money ;)

How does that compare to the number of people here who said they'd buy
it? And do you know how many of those people were the ones who said
they would get it if you stocked it? I can see how not only money is
the problem, but also the trouble selling it again.

Why not get your programmers to invent a new Amiga in the next few
months and make millions from it ? ;)

Wait a few months for my horse racing program to appear on an AFCD -
no bugs almost guaranteed!
<hey, Chris, about that software you were considering stocking.....>

Nice to know, although I would hope most people will upgrade.
Maybe it's a cr*p idea as I know little about serious programming, but
would it not be possible to issue updates to MD2/Voyager etc. as and
when they happen, such as minor bug fixes. I really want printing
support in Voyager to work after the first page and I'm willing to bet
it's been sorted but we'll still have to wait.

Nice! I'm glad to hear AmFTP is still there, as some /nutter/
suggested it should be scrapped for users of DOpus.
To that person - maybe serious FTP users do use DOpus, but for those
of us who just want to upload our sites every now and then, we still
need AmFTP (or whatever).

Could you give us a rough idea now of what system specs we'll need,
please? Basically, is my 6MB A1200 68030 just asking too much?

I assume you won't actually debit credit/debit cards until day of
despatch?
