Afaik, yes. V.

As it sucks? This was Olli's idea (NG), in 1996.

It was going to be Genesis for months. I won't comment on what I think about
the situation and Haage&Partner.
The Miami in OS 3.5 will be a 'LITE' version of the basic/classic Miami (ie.
not deluxe). The AWeb will be a cut-down version, with no Javascript etc.
Yes, it will possibly affect NC 3 sales for *new net users*, but there again
I can't see it being released until September, even Haage admit 'September'
(despite what those Aussies think about it being released at that Downunder
show).
I don't think it should affect NC 2 users as it offers nothing new/nice, net
wise, that is better than what they have already.
Also, remember you need the OS 3.1 rom's to use it, so it is still
expensive. ie. the rom's + OS 3.5 will be around 60. Not forgetting the
first snippets of OS 5 (AmigaSoft v1) will be floating around in Sept/Oct,
if/when they release the dev box..

Out of the 35, about 22 sold were to NC 2 users ;)
Shows how few we sold from the ad's. I just had an email this morning from
Greg (Perry) asking if we 'need more stock for WOA'. Ahem.

Printing is a MAJOR problem on the Amiga through web browsers. The odd thing
is that it works totally fine for some but not at all for others, but they
are all using Turboprint!

It's scrapped, re-read what I said: mFTP II will replace AmFTP (but it's
nicer than AmFTP).
mFTP II is very 'DOpus FTP' alike. For instance the GUI can be either:
a) single window (like DOpus)
or
b) dual window (like AmFTP)
You can also have totally asyncronous actions. You can upload and download
from/to more than one server at one time, you can add further files to the
batch window even after it has started downloading the files, you can surf
the FTP cache list offline and add files to the batch window for downloading
later and you can copy dirs to remote/local servers.
AmFTP can't do any of this.

The problem is that most people don't have DOpus, so they can't use DOpus
FTP, even if it is 'better' (but it doesn't have ADT btw).

I dunno. V might need a little more memory, due to the Javascript support.
BTW V will support the IE 4/5 JS DOM which means:
1) it will support far more JS functions than NS, which is what the IB 2 DOM
is based on (afaik).
2) it should support DHTML as standard (I think ;)
The best thing about IS 4/5 is the Javascript DOM. It's far more powerful
than Netscape's. I get loads of JS errors when browsing with NS but none
with IE 5.

Of course not. We never debit a card until we ship the product :)
If people pre-order (via the web or otherwise) we will collate the orders,
get everything pre-packed and ready for shipping and then, as soon as NC
3/STFax 4 arrives, we will charge the cards and ship.
The main advantage is that you will be one of the first to receive it. ie.
all pre-orders get priority.
Anyway, we *will not* be accepting pre-orders until about a week or so
before it is released, most likey *after* we have gone to press ;)
