I know there has been about 6 months+ of coding, so there are quite a few major and minor changes. But, also remember AmIRC v2 was free and the last paid version of AmIRC was v1, from 1996 (AmIRC v1 users were given v2 free - which was also quite a big update). So I guess a v3 is justified, due to time-scales. Anyway, it's very hard to add 'major' new features to an already superb IRC client, but I think you'll be happy with the additions made to v3.
