You didn't miss it. I guess Chris didn't anticipate AF subscribers getting the
mag so soon. :-)

Chris would put NC2 on floppies on the odd occasion anyone (like me) needed it.
It actually only came on 5 compressed floppies, plus 1 for MUI.

The thing is, I've never actually needed a cd-rom. Until now that is. ;-)
As for the AF-CD, I've got a backlog of about 4 months worth of AF floppies that
I haven't even looked at yet. To be honest, I'm not that bothered about
coverdisks. I don't think getting the CD would make me any more enthusiastic.

Also, I have a slight problem with my non-towered A1200. You see, an IDE cd-rom
interface sticks up above the main board. A 3" hard drive has to sit just to
the right of it. That's ok until you add a clock port expansion, like a serial
card, which also sticks up. So the hard drive has to move to the left over the
IDE connection, which makes an IDE cd-rom interface impossible (?)

I could go the SCSI route - expensive, or I could tower it - even more
expensive. But when I weigh up the usefulness of a cd-rom to me, I cannot
justify the cost.

Did it sound like I was complaining? If I did, I apologise. I don't for one
second expect Chris to write an installer just for me. But I am open to
suggestions as to how I could get the NC3 package without the considerable
expence of a cd-rom which, other that installing NC3, I would have little use
for.

Ideally, I wish I knew someone else with an Amiga with a cd-rom, who would let
me use it to copy the files to floppies myself. But I don't, so any other
suggestions from Chris, or anyone else, would be greatly appriciated.
